Used Switches as Replacements
Thursday, March 24th, 2011I had heard the name Cisco PIX Firewalls before and I’m sure that our company is using it as well. The good thing about this model is its wide range of security and networking services that most companies trust. Our network switch stopped working a few days ago and our technician ordered Cisco 4000 switches to fix the networking problem right away. It’s a good thing that the problem happened, when most of our workload has been finished and the delay didn’t cause any major problems.
When the new switches arrived, everything returned to normal and it was as if the problem didn’t even existed. I talked to the technician that ordered the replacement for the switches and asked him where he got them. He gave me the address of the website that he uses, when purchasing the hardwares that we use for our company. After giving me the referral, I checked it out for myself and was surprised when I found out that the replacement that he used was “second hand”. I thought that the replacement will have some problems after a few weeks, but it has already been a year and we haven’t experienced any major problems whatsoever.
