Helping A Friend To Sell Old Jewelry
Thursday, February 25th, 2010My friend asked me if I wanted to start selling old jewelry with him and I was confused. He explained that his grandfather owned a pawn shop and had boxes and boxes of old jewelry to sell. I guess that the price of gold is at an all time high currently and if we sell old jewelry to people to buy gold, diamonds and silver to just melt down and make new pieces then my friends grandfather might be able to recoup some of the money that he paid for them.
I have been out of work for about six months now, so the thought of doing something, anything is quite appealing. I know that I can sell old jewelry to people that are just going to scrap it, so there are no worries there. From what I understand, the people that are buying it, want the jewelry just as much as people want cash for it.
My friend told me that his grandfather is willing to pay us both ten percent of whatever we make, in addition to ten dollars and hour till we get all the old jewelry in the boxes sold and cleaned out of the storage room.
